I hope you will ask Council to revisit the street closings
that were done for the benefit of Mr. Carroll.
Your voice is needed here.

"I was not that happy about the street closing but really regret my vote on that.
it is a consideration that needs re-visiting."

It appears Marty Kotis gets to keep his free street and taxpayer monies etc...,
as he is defending the status quo
which cost him a lot of time, money and effort.
So if Roy hadn't promoted redistricting,
he should be able to reap the benefits
of our politicians giving away everyone else's money
while he lines their campaign pockets and endorses them in the Rhino?
Looks like some of our oligarchs have engaged in battle.
Current City Council members appear to have been reduced to pawns
to wealthy benefactors and contribution bundlers
in at least two camps.
Surprised?
How about Melvin and Koury?
Kotis could take it on the chin influence and taxpayer benefit wise
if Trudy and Roy's redistricting plan succeeds.
Seems like Marty is fighting for his piece of turf,
after getting covertly shafted by Roy.
If Roy and Trudy back down,
Roy loses about all influence with those City Council members
he tried to take out.
Trudy has nothing more to lose by going forward,
and a whole lot to lose by capitulating.
Kids in a sandbox, this city is.
I think the 7 districts who chose a mayor like the County
is a defensible position for Trudy and Roy.
Feels like they threw the mayor at large with a veto out
so they could offer it as a concession to get it done.
If it's 7 districts,
Marykay, Mike, Zack, Nancy V. and Nancy H.
and the rest of the in crowd in the middle of town are stuck,
with an outcome that would thrill most of Greensboro's Republican Right.
That so many who serve are from the old Greensboro middle
is legitimately problematic.
Jamal has to fight it out with Yvonne.
Someone would represent North Greensboro in 3,
which will not be me,
but most likely a Republican.
Another spot opens up on top of what looks like Skip Alston's neighborhood
but may end up Republican.
Tony stays either way.
Sharon will most likely get a big money backed opponent.

George-
You sent me the below email (and attachment) and left a threatening voicemail around the same time frame.

"As relatively recent ideological opponents, I thought, perhaps incorrectly, and it's ok if you don't want to, that the attached could be discussed/distributed at the UNC board, as the concept could increase the values of the system's retirement plan offerings, essentially giving state employees in our university system a raise.
It could also apply to your business, which could designate yours truly as a fiduciary to Marty Kotis, which would mean I could only give you shit in private.
Either way, I am looking for feedback on the contents, if you are interested.
Thanks,

You may want to contemplate the terms "extortion" and "malice". I'll have my attorney - cc'd on this - communicate with you from now on. I'm tired of having you attack me and the city, while you peddle your retirement plan services.

Marty's name has been removed from the post.
If Marty wasn't in the mix, all he had to do is tell me, but he didn't,
and now he's trying to save the candidates he appears to have already purchased.
The story line so far looks like Marty ends up with the short end of the stick, relatively,
if the change goes through.
Seems like Marty is fighting for his piece of turf, after getting shafted by Roy.

Hartzman's prepared statement on John Hammer, Roy Carroll and the Rhino Times, from last night's City Council meeting
How about this one?
"Soon to be Roy Carroll, Koury, Kotis and Melvin backed mayoral candidate Mike Barber said it was a great idea, which was proudly circulated in the Rhino by Roy's yellow boy John."
Are you backing Nancy this year Marty?

with commercial properties and digital billboards
