It would indeed be interesting to know how much money is actually paid Jill Wilson and Brooks Pierce LLC but to date no one is talking. In the meantime, the City of Greensboro, Greensboro Police Department, City of High Point, High Point Police Department, Guilford County, and Guilford County sheriff's Department all keep these costs in check by employing their own in-house legal departments.
According to a quote I got from Greensboro City Attorney Thomas Carruthers concerning information I asked for on the Robert v City of Greensboro suit, the City of Greensboro figures $40 an hour for reading through public records-- the same services Brooks Pierce is now billing Guilford County schools $150 to $225 per hour. Get it? It appears Jill R Wilson could afford to fund Tools For Schools out of her pocket.
