With the help of Greensboro City Manager, Denise Turner Roth and then Assistant City Manager Andy Scott, Koury Corporation ripped-off Greensboro taxpayers for a total of $215,116.36 despite the fact that documents provided by the City of Greensboro indicate the problem was not the responsibility of the City of Greensboro.
George Hartzman has the entire story and the cover-up that followed. Heads should roll.
Working from the fringes of Greensboro politics and development to build a brighter future for Greensboro into the 21st Century and beyond.

Public Information Request: Project Haystack
I just sent the following PIRT (Public Information Request) to the City of Greensboro:
We'll see what that brings.
"Please send me the feasibility study funded by the city of Greensboro that projected a possible $6.5 billion in private investment and the creation of 5,349 jobs over the next 20 years from Project Haystack.
PS. And tell them I'll be posting this e-mail to http://
Also, please include the numbers that went into the study and their sources.
http://www.news-record.com/news/local_news/article_ c4c445a7-7efd-5546-8fc5- 2d09f20d03a8.html
Please explain why the City of Greensboro is providing water and sewer even though Burlington could do so at much lower cost. Note: The project is surrounded on 3 sides by Burlington water and sewer services.
Please explain how this project gets around Greensboro's ordinance against providing incentives (water and sewer extensions) to projects that cannot be annexed by Greensboro? Is the City of Greensboro not one of the developers of this proposed megasite? Would Guilford County not be considered a developer in this instance? They are in-fact doing speculative investments. Even if the county sees a loss up front, if successful the county would hope to profit in increases in long term tax values. Otherwise, there is little justification for the county to back the project.
And lastly, who authorized this study, did that person have the authority to do so and what was the cost?
Thanks -Billy Jonesgreensboroperformingarts. blogspot.com/ and Facebook so they might want to hurry."
We'll see what that brings.

A Hidden Bid In The Bessemer Shopping Center Rennovation?
How come no mention was ever made public of J S Mention Corporation? Yes, their bid was higher but what were they offering? Did the public not have a right to know? Assistant City Manager Andy Scott knew.
